Port Coquitlam Therapist

Suki Ó Huallacháin

Canadian Certified Counsellor

Clinical Director & Psychotherapist

(CCC), M.ACP.

Hi I'm Suki, thanks for connecting. I have been a therapist for the past 7 years in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver and have worked in the Mental Health field for 11 years.

Empowering you to embrace your unique journey is my goal. I meet you where you are, honour your individuality and help you navigate your path forward. Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, career exploration, relationship issues, or simply a desire for personal growth, our sessions will be tailored to your specific needs. Trust, compassion, honesty & some humor is what I hope to foster in our space together.

I have worked with a multitude of individuals from many walks of life, and have been grateful to walk along side them through their counselling journey. A motto I embrace is that I am a human first, therapist second. When I am not working, I can be found with my dog Hershey, attending spin classes, travelling, and watching reality TV.

How I Can Help:

  • Let’s face it, starting therapy can be overwhelming. I aim to create a space that is warm and inviting, and has a bit of laughter.

  • Build confidence from the inside out. You deserve to feel good about who you are. Whether it’s learning how to speak up for yourself, stop overthinking, or finally feel "good enough," I’m here to help you feel more confident in your own skin.

  • Learn to trust your gut again I help people reconnect with their inner voice so they can make decisions with more clarity and confidence.

  • Build stronger boundaries & healthier relationships. If dating feels confusing or it’s hard to trust others, you’re not alone. I help people feel more in control of their choices, set clear boundaries, and trust themselves when it comes to love and connection.

  • Get out of your head and into your life. Overthinking can take up so much space. I’ll help you gently quiet the noise in your mind so you can feel more grounded, more present, and more connected to yourself and the people around you.

I am trained in ACT, EFT, Brainspotting, EMDR, and trauma-informed practices.

Beyond the Bio

Because therapy is human & so are we.

Small brown dog wearing a jacket with a white furry collar standing on fallen autumn leaves in a park.

Hershey, My Rescue Chihuahua

Small but mighty and full of attitude.

Group photo of six people and a puppet of a vampire sitting on a chair in a cozy, vintage living room. The background has a staircase, green walls, and a sign reading 'from the creators of 60s and flight of the Conchords.' The scene is from a humorous vampire-themed show or movie titled 'What We Do in the Shadows.'

Favourite Movie: What We Do in the Shadows

Proof that deadpan humour is an art form.

View of the ocean with a cloudy sky, a grassy hillside with a sheep grazing behind a wire fence, and distant islands on the horizon.

Favourite Place I’ve Travelled: Ireland

Great food, even better people, and endless charm.

Have you ever felt like you’re not good enough?

Is it hard for you to find your own voice?
